The Hall

About The Hall

Our village hall was opened in 1955 as a centre for community and private activities and since then it has undergone a number of improvements including the addition of a committee room, a new green oak porch, a disabled toilet and, more recently, a large store room to the rear of the building.
The hall has a seating capacity for up to 100 sitting at tables or 120 seated theatre style. It has a fixed stage, good toilet facilities, a small but well equipped kitchen with commercial dishwasher and a large car park for over 60 cars.

A typical week will see the following local organisations booking the hall for either daytime or evening sessions:

Typical Weekly Timetable

The Village Hall is open for business again

but only in line with Government guidance!

We have carried out a full Covid-19 risk assessment and we believe that we have put all the necessary measures in place to make it safe to return.

Additional conditions have been included in the Hire Agreement and currently, there are restrictions on numbers too but the hall is quite large and social distancing is possible in most cases.    We are also asking hirers to keep the hall safe by undertaking some essential cleaning both when they arrive and when they depart and all users must register for the NHS Track and Trace system.

In the long term, we will be honouring all the regular weekly and monthly evening bookings made by local organisations but if you are interested in making a one-off evening booking or even a day time booking in the near future, please contact the Booking Clerk to discuss it further.
